Launch of the Arabic Version of the Documentary Film 'The Imam and the Pastor'
The Arabic version of the award winning documentary film The Imam and the Pastor was launched in Lebanon on 27th March under the slogan ‘Together in service of sustainable Reconciliation’.
L’Imam et le Pasteur – Ottawa, January 23, 2009
The first public screening of the French language version of the Imam & the Pastor in Ottawa took place at Saint Paul University on Friday, January 23. The event was a collaboration between the Conflict Studies program of the university and Initiatives of Change.
The panel consisted of Philothée Kigeme from Burundi, a student in Conflict Studies, Oscar Gasana, a federal civil servant, graduate from the Masters in conflict studies program, former President of the Rwandan community association, and Abdourahman Kahin, psychologist, originally from Djibouti, who represented Muslim Presence.
Vrede als exportproduct: de imam en de dominee
In onze kleine wereld worden conflicten makkelijk geëxporteerd zoals we zien met het conflict in het Midden-Oosten. Dat een model van vrede en verzoening ook geëxporteerd kan worden zien we minder, maar dat is het afgelopen jaar wel gebeurd met het vredesmodel dat een imam en een dominee uit Nigeria aan de wereld hebben laten zien.

El imán Ashafa y el pastor James de Nigeria, protagonistas del documental El Imán y el Pastor, visitaron Escocia del 27 de noviembre al 4 de diciembre, invitados por la Iglesia Episcopal Escocesa. Participaron de la conferencia de cuatro días que reunió a cristianos y musulmanes del Reino Unido y Escandinavia. El objetivo era fomentar un mejor entendimiento entre estas diferentes religiones, y discutir sobre los desafíos que enfrentan los grupos religiosos en los diferentes países.
Visit of Imam Muhammad Ashafa and Pastor James Wuye to Scotland

Imam Ashafa and Pastor James from Nigeria, subjects of the film The Imam and the Pastor, visited Scotland 27 November to 4 December at the invitation of the Scottish Episcopal Church. They took part in a four-day conference bringing together Christians and Muslims from UK and Scandinavia. The aim was to foster better understanding among those of different faiths, and to discuss the challenges faced by faith groups in different countries.
Imam and Pastor bring Message of Hope to Australia
Two Nigerians internationally famous for their work in interfaith reconciliation spent three weeks in Australia, 24 October to 14 November, as guests of Initiatives of Change. They are Imam Muhammad Ashafa and Pastor James Wuye from the north-central city of Kaduna, where they head the Muslim-Christian Interfaith Mediation Centre.
People’s Day in Brighton and Hove Shows Film of Reconciliation

On the initiative of those from the minority communities a ‘People’s Day’ was held, for the first time ever, in the Hove Town Hall on 5 October. The aim was to show some of the things which go on in the city about which many are totally unaware. Some of these were cultural, some religious, some commercial and some charitable. Forty stalls displayed goods and information to show the life of the city.
Imam and Pastor interviewed on Australian Radio National
Imam Mohammad Ashafa and Pastor James Wuye are in Australia from 24 October to 14 November 2008 as guests of Initiatives of Change. They were interviewed on ABC Radio National's Lateline programme for 30 minutes. Interviewer, Philip Adams, said they were "two of the most important people in the world just now".

El Imán y el Pastor fue Presentada en el Festival de Cine Cinéma Verité, en Ginebra y París
Alan Alan Channer reporta acerca lo la presentación de la versión en francés del premiado documental El Imán y el Pastor, en el Festival de Cine CINÉMA VARITÉ, la celebración mundial más prestigiosa de producciones cinematográficas que resaltan las causas humanitarias y sociales, en Ginebra el 10 de octubre y en París el 12 de octubre.
