Dr Harold Saunders, Director of International Affairs at the Kettering Foundation, and Dr Syngman Rhee, International Chairman of the Institute for Strategic Reconciliation, are the 2009 recipients of the Initiatives of Change Trustbuilder Award.

Leading practitioners of conflict resolution, dialogue and community building will come to Richmond, VA to explore the trust deficit that divides the U.S. at the local and national levels and globally as well. The forum is sponsored by Initiatives of Change at the University of Richmond, June 4-7 and will draw participants from many walks of life to share best practices of building bridges and living with integrity.

A Leeds Member of Parliament from one of the most religiously diverse constituencies in Britain, two Nigerian ex-militiamen who used to lead rival gangs and now campaign for peace, a Lebanese civil rights lawyer from Beirut, and an Australian peace campaigner were keynote speakers at a weekend conference on trust-building, organised by Initiatives of Change, 14-15 June.
