Rajmohan Gandhi, the President of Initiatives of Change International was one of the guest speakers on this year’s theme: ‘When religions and worldviews meet’.

Muslims and Christians worldwide share the same set of fundamental values: the respect of human life and of human dignity. Being serious about these beliefs implies change. There needs to be a wide joint appeal by religious and moral authorities to stop violence, as violence paves the way for more violence and future conflicts.

When I was twenty I was enthusiastic about cricket, travel, the church, my career, my country, the world situation, and finding the right girl to marry. But how all this could come together I couldn’t see. (Peter Everington)
