November 15, 7:30-9:00am, The Fifteenth Annual Metropolitan Richmond Day The keynote speaker at this year's breakfast is Dr. John W. Franklin, Director of Partnerships and International Programs at the National Museum of African American History and Culture at the Smithsonian. Location: Richmond Marriott Hotel. Cost:$30. October 25-31, The US launch of An African Answer, which was commissioned by the United States Institute of Peace, (USIP). The film’s Nigerian protagonists Imam Muhammad Ashafa and Pastor James Wuye, British film director Dr Alan Channer and Kenyan production consultant Joseph Karanja will attend a series of high-profile events and screenings in New York and Washington, DC. October 10-15, The Trust Factor 2011 - A series of events in Washington DC that demonstrate how people from diverse backgrounds have built trust and are collaborating to solve problems in their communities, our nation, and even internationally. For more information.

September 14-25, The Justice Department of British Columbia will sponsor two events. September 14, 6:00-8:00pm - "Hope in the Cities: Trustbuilding in our Community." Rob Corcoran will share Richmond's remarkable story with case studies, images and conversation. The program continues with an all-day workshop led by Rob Corcoran on September 15, "Creating Communities of Hope: Trustbuilding and Social Change."

July 11-16 - Coming to the Table, Hope in the Cities and Eastern Menonite University will lead teenagers on a pilgrimage to Mississippi during the 50th anniversary of the Freedom Riders.

July 10-17, Caux Forum for Human Security aims to generate a new dynamic in diplomacy by inspiring collaboration between citizens and leaders in action for peace, human security and sustainable development. The third Caux Forum for Human Security will take place in Caux, Switzerland.

July 3-31, Caux Scholars Program 2010 - Through class sessions, sharing with their fellow students and participating in the Initiatives of Change conferences, the Caux Scholars learn how to welcome personal change in order to initiate a global change for peace.

July 3-August 8, The International Caux Conferences 2011 at the Initiatives of Change international conference center in Caux, Switzerland.The conference season starts with 'Transform Yourself - Transform the World Around You'  followed by the fourth 'Caux Forum for Human Security'. It continues with ‘'Learning to Live in a Multi-cultural World' and the summer conferences end with 'Trust & Integrity in the Global Economy.' Program details.

June 1-3, Tulsa, OK - Rob Corcoran and Tee Turner deliver a workshop at the John Hope Franklin Center for Reconciliation at a symposium on "Hope & Healing: Black, White, and Native American"

May 20-21 - Batesville, MS - In partnership with Coming to the Table, Cricket White will faciliated a dialogue between the black and white students that integrated South Panola High School 50 years ago.

April 30, 9:30-12:30 - Yale PhD Class exerperience of the Slave Trail Walk as part of a Civil War tour.

April 29-May 8, Calgary, Canada - Trustbuilding workshop design and facilitator training.

April 11-12, Dayton, OH,  - Rob Corcoran speaks at a reception for city leaders followed by a one-day Trustbuilding workshop.

April 7-8, Higher Achievement Program staff development and orientation retreat.

March 24, The Justice Institute of British Columbia will sponsor a one-day workshop led by Rob Corcoran and Anjum Ali on "Creating Communities of Hope: Trustbuilding and Social Change."

March 18,  8:00am-12:00pm, "Unpacking the 2010 Census: the new realities of race, class, and jurisdiction." Hope in the Cities, the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities, and the University of Richmond Bonner Center for Civic Engagement will bring together community leaders to consider the implications of the 2010 census data in this first presentation by Dr. John Moeser. This half-day program at Virginia Commonwealth University is free and open to the public. To register.

March 17, 2:00pm, Westminster-Canterbury, Richmond, VA - Rob Corcoran will speak at an author's event.

March 8-10, Duke Divinity School Pilgrimage of Pain and Hope to explore the work of healing history and its legacy in Richmond.

February 3-4, Change Agents Gathering - This skills-building workshop will be held at the Richmond Hill Retreat Center, Richmond, VA and is open to all graduates of the Connecting Communities Programs. For more information.

January 24-29, 2011, Trustbuilding week in Hampton Roads, VA. A diverse Trustbuilding Taskforce is convening a number of occasions in the Hampton Roads area with the aim of putting trustbuilding on the community's public agenda. Rob Corcoran, author of Trustbuilding, will keynote the closing event at Norfolk State University on Saturday, January 29 at 1:00pm. Events are free and open to the public. For more information.

October 21, Prejudice Awareness Summit (PAS). Hope in the Cities partners with the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities on a day-long workshop for middle school students in Richmond, VA. This workshop is designed to increase awareness, knowledge, and acceptance of ethnic and cultural differences.

May 11, Austin, TX Rob will meet with the ‘Texas after Violence group’ and faculty teaching the Difficult Dialogues curriculum at the University of Texas, Austin.

Saturday, April 17, 10 am - 4 pm, Richmond, VA You are invited to experience the history of the Slave Trail on April 17 from 10 am to 4 pm. There will be individuals stationed at each of the 12 sites of the Slave Trail, listen as they share the significance of each site.
